Today was a quiet day. I went back at the watercolours. I’m trying to forget all the rules about watercolours and just experimenting and playing. I don’t do rules well! I’m a little happier with the results. It’s testing my patience to keep waiting for paint to dry. I’m also not good at patience.
I’ve now moved back into my happy place, the side of the house that I was originally in for three weeks. This is the one with the fireplace.
My friends who are planning on visiting me, are still at the airport in Toronto after the third day of cancellations; they’re hoping to get out tonight for the flight to Dublin and then on to Lisbon. It must be very frustrating for them just waiting. I suggested that they stay here a few days longer & make up for it but I guess it all depends on how they can change their return flight.
The temperature got up to about 16 but it was pretty windy today and cloudy. I’ll have neighbours for about five days this week. Apparently a family of five. We’ll see how that works out.
In about 30 days more I will be heading home. Please get rid of all that snow for me. I will donate it to someone who needs it! When I get home I will have to work hard to earn some money to go on my next trip to the Orkneys in September. This time I am taking my son with me to celebrate my graduation. At my age!!!!! I have never been to one of my own graduation ceremonies.
That will be fun.
Sorry about the short blog today but this was just a take it easy day! I hope you are enjoying these rants from me- I find the journaling useful for reminding me of my daily activities.
