It’s 7:30 in the morning. I’ve been up for a bit doing dishes and just getting my tea made and of course getting cat food out for the newly wed felines.
It wass a windy night but the temperature is going up to over 19 today. It’s quite overcast and a little rainy. BC and his partner must have eloped in the middle of night. Everything is calm, no howling anymore and the female cat is out in the field. She’s very shy, but the two cats were together when I walked out the door this morning. BC really wants to be inside for now, just for a visit, but I can’t let him in because Irene is totally frightened of cats.
My guests are still sleeping. Irene is a late sleeper normally-she is a night person.
I really wanted to get my blog done last night and I didn’t have time (with guests) so I was a little later into the evening. I wasn’t as satisfied with it, but then, I guess it’s gonna be difficult for a bit because I am so busy. Irene and Ross leave on Sunday; they’re taking the bus up to Lisbon and then flying back into Dublin and then staying a couple of nights in Ireland and then back home . They are great travelling companions.
Ross is a widower. He was a caregiver for his wife for many many years, until she died about 3 years ago. He’s always wanted to travel and Irene travels a lot with her Air Canada discounts. I don’t envy that kind of travel; you often have to standby; you can’t always guarantee you’re going to get on a plane and as you know they had all sorts of upsets in Toronto with this last venture in the snowstorm. Ross has now had the opportunity to go to Hawaii, Cuba, and Alaska and now here to Portugal and of course Ireland for a short bit. While you’re healthy, why not travel especially with a good friend!
Today we visited beaches to walk in the sand, explored a large grocery store to look at what’s offered for sale in fresh fish and other products. We then did a mid afternoon meal at O Sacas, one of the best seafood restaurants in the area. It was a busy day and tomorrow will be another fun day buzzing around.
