Artist Statement:

Whether it be through photography, painting or writing, I am always exploring. I am excited with the directions I take and I am happy when I’m actively involved. And I am always learning new perspectives, absorbing new ideas.

In my photography I search through the viewfinder, feeling  the textures around me, sensing and capturing the light.

My approach is  traditional, whether it be through straight photography with film or with digital. I shoot and shoot and shoot. There is no manipulation, cropping or changes in my printed work. All images are full frame.  Images may be repeated within the same framework to emphasize the effect.

Certain perspectives haunt me.” Carmel Brennan
